My wife and I owned 2 sandwich shops for 9 years. At one point I donated a kidney to one of our employees. Inspired by our experience my wife donated one of her kidneys anonymously 18 months later. Within a few months of her surgery the economy went south and we ended up losing our restaurants. I have been unemployed for almost 2 years now and cannot find a job. I am working odd jobs to make ends meat. We are months behind on our house payment and our electricity is about to be turned off. There is no chance of a Christmas for our 4 children this year. To make it worse, I am having health problems, but have no insurance to get it taken care of. I am in constant pain. I try to put on a smile and make my wife and kids that we will be ok, but I really don't see how we will. I need help...
